  Shepherd of the Lakes is a friendly community in which my family really enjoys being a part of. The youth program truly stands out. My 4 year old son attends Sunday School weekly and really enjoys his teacher and classmates. It has been a great opportunity for our family to help grow our Christian faith.

  Shepherd of the Lakes has been my home and family for 23 years. I started coming as a little girl, and now as an adult, there is not a day that goes by that I am not thankful for being a part of this community. I have been to many churches, and very few seem to be as lucky having both a strong music ministry and youth ministry as Shepherd of lakes. Every year the youth seems to get larger and stronger. The music ministry has several choirs, musicians and even bells and chimes. All main entrances are handicap accessible. No one who wishes to receive communion is denied. The church is always a warm and friendly environment. While the church has gone through some hard times including recently a beloved pastor diagnosed with a brain tumor that forced him to retire, and other active and cherished members lost, the church only continues to grow in its faith, compassion and missions.

  Shepherd of the Lakes is great! Ask anyone at the church, what made you come to this church and why do you stay they will tell you, it's the people... there is such a sense of family, love, support and faith! Sometimes I come just for the people connection. There are great outreach ministries, the music program is awesome and our youth program continues to grow and add life to the church.
  I am delighted to be able to be a part of this fantastic place... this church exemplifies what Christian love is about. The new Pastor, Pastor Nik, is a perfect fit for the church. His sermon series have been inspirational and truly help me understand how to apply the Good News to my life. In fact one week I am SURE he wrote the sermon with only me in mind... of course so did everyone I talked to. The Holy Spirit is alive and prospering at Shepherd of the Lakes!
